Mantid nymphs all died...

I had two ooths hatch out and within 3 days they all died. I never had this problem before.

We separate them so they aren't so crowded and we fed them fruit flies as usual. The odd thing was that this time, they weren't eagerly eating the fruit flies. Anyone know what happened?

They most likely all ate each other I went from 200 to 1 in 4 days

I did notice some eating each other as usual but most weren't eating at all.

Chinese ooths have high death rates when they hatch.

Were you misting them?

Misting was likely the issue, but hard to tell without your basic husbandry posted. Sorry about your mantids :/

I mist and feed mine everyday to every other day. If I go a day without misting, I see them drink like crazy.
