Male vield color habits

ok so a have a sub adult male vield (spurs) i dont know his age when i bought him but if i had to guess hes about5 months? but anyway i was just wandering when they get in there major color pattern... when hes on his brown vines "basking" he turns milk chocolate brown ( i assume for beter heat intake)....but it just strikes me odd becasue he just shed about 5 days ago and it seems that his color intensity ( strpes) and color change ability has sky rocketed. so i was just wondering when a male vield will be in full color capability?

They start to get stripes and what not around 3-5 months and the color continues to develop/brighten/change for about another year after the 4 month mark (give for take a few months).
