Male shows little interest in breeding- help

I have a male that when introduced to females in his cage will actually show aggression and charge at them--

when I introduce him in a free range enclosure, he has bobbed his head at them a few times, but then has lost interest after that...

any suggestions? tips? Thanks

Let's put him with my female, 14 months and perfect. But all she wants to do is kill poor Lenny. Lenny really, really wants to be friends.:D:D

All you can do is keep trying.

The first few times we tried to breed Mister Twister he acted as if we put him in with another male.. he would puff and act aggressive.. If we put him with a female on FR he acted scared and ran away..

eventually he came around ... one day something clicked.

Thanks Dez-- that's reassuring as this is pretty much identical to how he's acting... how long did it take for yours to come around? how many.. introductions? Did it end up in FR or his own cage?

He's thor-- the panther cham- BB ambilobe. Such a mighty name for lame-o

So-- I have had success tonight!!!!! :D :D Thor is breeding right now!!

it took a lot of coaxing but he did it!

One strategy that helped-- since he was being territorial in his cage, but not as interested in the FR-- my brother actually said, why dont you try putting the female in there first?

So I let the female in first, then put him into his "territory" (cage) and he started bobbing. Granted, it took quite a few attempts after this for the actual breeding.. but i thought i'd share for future reference, as this might work for someone else too!

Bow chica Bow-wow

Thor gonna be a daddy :D :D

Congrats! My ambilobe, cpt kirk is having a similar issue so I may try your approach when I get to that point.

I had the same problem with my cham Starburst. He bred the first time, but after that he only showed aggression to my other female I wanted to breed. I ended up switching the male for that female cham.
