Male or female Veil?

I just got a chameleon but I have no clue what sex it is? Can someone help?

I tried to get some pictures. My chameleon is, I know this sounds weird but seems to be playing in the dirt. Sort of scooting across the cage....

If it is female maybe trying to lay eggs. But I have no experience with females. But am sure others will be able to help you out
 
Welcome to the Chameleon Forums. I agree with Tyrone above. You have a girl and you need a laying bin for her ASAP or she can become egg bound and die. Here’s a good video by one of our senior member about making a lay bin and my blog about egg laying and the laying bin.

Her grip looks weak from the picture and you may be missing the egg laying time - she could be going into eggbinding.

Dig a hole for her in the sand and see if she will use it. I've had this work before.
