male or female? age?

hello i just got my little cham a week ago and was wondering how or if i could tell its sex and its age i belive it is a male and im guessing 3 or 4 months old but the pet store would not confirm the sex and i acctually forgot to ask its age ( i was excited ) it is a veiled chameleon and is about 8 inches including tail. i read that only males havea extra little part on their back paws sort of in the middle where their toes come together and mine has this. Also i can take any specific pic if it will help

You can take a pic if you like, but if it has the tarsal spurs like you said, you probably have a male.

if it has those spurs, you have a male. if not, you have a female. thats the easiest way to tell.. and trust me, you'd know. haha. =] also, age is hard. im still trying to figure out how old mine is, and hes tiny. body is about the size of my index finger, and tail is about the same.
