You have a panther chameleon, based on what you have shown in the pic. And just based off the colors showing in the body that is a male.
Can you please provide a picture of the whole chameleon. Panthers are sexed by the base of the tail when young. But when they get older it is very very clear with their colors.

You have a male Panther.. Were you told the locale? Interesting that they did not tell you what sex you were buying.

Yes its very clear male coloring... If it were female it would be more of a peachy/pink color.
