Male dubia?

So I'm looking at my newly acquired Dubias and one of the males has his wings standing str8 up! Is it a mating ritual?!?

Darn! I was just about to snap a pic and another male came racing towards him and they started fighting. When the wings were up he looked like he was dancing and there was a rather receptive looking female within a half inch of his reach. It was about to get dirty in that bin!

I mean that dude looked like a peacock! They have small wings under their big wings and he was fanned out! I hate myself for not getting that pic!! Uggghh... :/

It's a territorial thing.

Yep. I never saw it happen until I kept the bin in my bathroom a couple days while I reorganized things in the reptile room. So I'd come in, turn on the light and sit watching them, and since it had been completely dark for hours in the bathroom they would usually be out and about. And once I saw several males doing this territorial/mating display. Interesting to know they do more than just eat and poop.
