my male vailed chameleon was very tame and actualy loved to come out and hang out on my hand but since i got him a new cage he dose not want anything to do with me in less im feeding him then he will eat right out of my hand.i dont handel eather of them very oftin cuz i know it stressis them out but the female has never hised or snaped at me and i was just woundering if anyone els has had this expereince.

Give him a few days or even a couple of weeks to settle in, he may just feel a bit unsure in his new cage, also if its alot larger he might not feel the need to come out for a wander as often. When my male was moved to a larger cage he didn't want to come out for over a week but after that he was back to normal, climbing on my hand every time I opened the door in the hope that i'd take him out for some sunshine.

My male's the same way! He always wanted to come out and crawl around. I initially thought that maybe he just like being around people. But when I got him a 175 gal. flexarium and put a couple of trees in he doesn't come out too often now. So I figure that he must be content in there and the reason that he used to like to come out was because he didn't feel all that comfortable in his previous enclosures!

As long as he's eating and drinking he's probably just happy to have some space to call his own!
