it is a ambanja panther cham male about 9 months old i feed him twice a day ckrickets gutloaded with apples collard greens and sticky toung farms gutload and it varries the kind of fruit carrots veggies ect right now i mist in the morning and close to every 2hrs i have a mist king on the way and i have had him a week also ever since i got him it seems like my lil guy is haveing the same thing happen to him he is blue bar ambilobie panther about 5 months old all their cages are about 2 and a halfe feet tall by 18 in wide by 20 in long i use 25 uvb strip lights with a 45 watt basking bulb there basking spot is about 87 and the rest the cage is around 75 to 80 the humidity levle gets high after i mist and then goes down to 60 when its dry the cages are screen they arnt neer ac vents or windows i live in washington state and i dont see them gulping water like the females and they have real plants those are umbrella trees what do i do are they in extreme danger?

so this is what could be causing the neck swelling? im going to cut out all supplaments from dusting to in gutloading for 10 days and revise my schedual what i was told was completely wrong

No, no. This neck swelling is VET worthy. Dusting with D3 twice a week isn't going to swell the neck. Something is wrong with him and dusting less isn't going to make the swelling go down.

but what i dont understand is why now my other male is haveing the same damn promlem he isnt lathargic and he still gobles them up could it be gular edema? and what cures gular edema should i feed him less??

Depends. You could be gutloading with too much vitamin A. You can try to stop dusting and keep them both really hydrated to flush out excess vitamins if it is gular edema.

thx again everyone il change the gutload a d keep updates coming and can sombody walk me threw how to post pics in an album of my chams it wont let me

You said..."i have had him a week also ever since i got him it seems like my lil guy is haveing the same thing happen to him"...since you've only had him a week I doubt it has anything to do with your supplementing. Since the other one didn't have it and is developing it I would think it might be something that it caught from the newer one....or from some change that you made in the last week. Do you wash your hands when you work inside one cage or handle the chameleon in one cage before you move to the other cage? Do you use the same equipment in both cages? Do you let them out in the same areas?

Citizen Snips...Veggies, greens, etc. will not cause a problem with vitamin A...only prEformed vitamin A can cause a built up in the chameleon's system. However there could be prEformed vitamin a in anything else you use to gutload with.

the lady i got the ambanja from gave me her own homeade gutload for the crickets but what im thinking is it worked for her but she probly wasnt using any suplaments so with as many powders i was giveing plus the gut load was the start of a problem so i changed gutload to just natural fruit and greens and stopped powdering crickets so we will c if it goes away in both my males in the next several days
