Well, I just do not think that these Mellers will ever cohabitate. I tried again yesterday and you can see what happened in the picture. Major eventually bolted to the bottom of the cage to hide. Minor so wants to be with him.

Here they are today. Separate and happy...

It really is to bad major and minor won't be friends, I would enjoy an off spring of those two. How about the little fischers is there no friend in sight? Such a interesting chameleon, someday I may own a fishers but not for a while.

Fisher still needs a woman. Maybe this month...I am just waiting to have my hands full with 2 clutches of Nosy Be's!

Your Mellers are really neat Juli, thanks for the new pictures.:)

I have always wondered why the inside of thier mouths are black?

Theres a clip of 2 mellers dueling it out, over a tree, in the video "Life in cold blood". I must have watched it a million times. The way they flap their skin on the heads is very interesting!

I would love to care for a mellers one day.. Mabey when I move in with Laurie I'll have the room..:p

I have a really bigfree-roam now. I introduced two, year old CH's to the room, in a separate cage. They wanted out, into the big free-roam with the big adults - Ardi and the REALLY big female...

The one little turd was fine. The other one is a slimebag for sure. He challenged Ardi, who is 3-4 times his size. Ardi put him in his place, dark skined, and upside down(same thing as the first pic of the thread). Still, they wanted to be iout in the free roam, not in their cage.

nobody was getting hurt, so I let them be. Today, Ardi and the two little ones were eating next to each other. He'll keep them straight - but they listen. Amazing stuff to watch.

The dominate one seems to find it necessary to assert the fact that it's HIS territory - often. Seems to calm down after a while though.
