I got a little pop up green house today i plan to modify for an outdoor "free range" enclosure (not really free range but pretty darn big for a tiny cham)

i was looking at some trees at my local home improvement place and fond a really cool looking magnolia tree for cheap and i was curious if anyone knew if they were safe.. i know they arent poisonous to humans so i figure it should be ok. just thought id see if anyone knew.

thanks!

from what i can see for humans, birds, dogs, and cats they are non-toxic so i would think it would be ok. read somewhere that some types may be toxic, but its bark is used in medicine so I'd say go for it. Alright did a lot of looking and they are not poisonous to humans or live stock but should watch the chameleon after eating it.

i just read on another site they are safe so i think ill be ok. i had to reword my search a few times to get anything.

thanks for the response! the one i saw had really cool branches, im not partial to magnolia in particular i just liked the specific tree i saw. hah. hopefully i can snag it :)

Just a heads up, UVB doesn't pass through glass or most greenhouse tarps according to what I've read but I know some members have a special cover that works, also if you could get the name or a picture of that magnolia I'd love to know, I live in the south and would love to have a tree for my Cham and magnolias do great down here

reconsider

Just a heads up its a very dirty trees it losses leaves like crazy ull have to clean it every day and the leaves that fall and start to decay can harm your chameleon so if u do use it make sure to remove dead leaves everyday but have fun with that
