madagascar hissing roaches

I am getting a colony of hissing roaches (20) in about a week. realistically how much can I make a month selling feeders? and should I beware of any precautions? (besides abortion) and will they need larger than a 3 foot wide tank? (glass) and roughly how much should I sell them for a piece?

a colony of 20 adults isn't going to put you in business, unless you were just selling half a dozen now and then.
you'll sell an adult for anywhere between $1 and $5 each, depending on where you live. obviously less for nymphs
something a few feet long and a couple feet wide will be fine. Make sure you have a tight lid.

well i already have 2 ppl willing to become regular customers. as well as 5 willing 2 buy a few from me as testers for my product. im kinda hoping to make like $100-200 a month.....

Not unless you're producing a lot more than 200 roaches a month, and where you can sell sizes that go for at least $1 each. I would make the investment in purchasing quite a few more adults, give them a few months to really get going, and then sell nymphs to your hearts content.

i realistically with how many reptiles one of my pre-decided clients has i could sell 150 just to that person. :D

It takes a lot more work and time then you might think to get a good colony of most any feeder going good enough to be able to start selling or even feeding your own chams out of it. If you started with 100plus adults you MIGHT be able to start selling them in 4-6 months or so and then not that many. You will also need to learn to make your own dry gut load and also be prepared to spend about $10.00 every 2 weeks or so on fresh fruits and vegetables for a new colony not including the cost of gut load. You will spend more as the colony grows. You will also need to have the proper heating to even get them to thrive much less breed so that is also a consideration. Did you see the previous comment about a tight lid ? Take it from someone who knows..... You better make sure you can keep them in the tub or you will have a whole different problem to deal with.I'm sorry to be the one to say this but it will be very difficult to do what you are thinking without a significant investment and 6 months to get it going. I currently have 20 plus different feeder insects and have had many 4-6 months before they were producing well enough to start taking any significant numbers out of the colony. If you do go ahead with this you should look up Sandra's gut load information as it is the most comprehensive printed list of good ingredients I have seen. Do you know how you will heat your colony? How you will seperate them by size or sex when it comes time to sell them ? There is ALOT more to this then you can imagine and you need to do your homework before you even begin. I can't tell you how mush $$$$ I have wasted by not having EVERYTHING set up just perfect before I got the bugs I was going to breed!!!!! Sorry if I'm putting a damper on your plan but you need to know all this before you start. This is all just my own thoughts on this and others might think differently!!! Good luck and everyone here wants to help you I just wanted you to have the other side of the coin to consider before you dove in. :D
