Lucy laying pics

I said I would post some pics of Lucy (mine) and Socrates (Glittergloomgirl) eggs. She was so ready to lay that the eggs were coming out while she was still digging. Regardless, when she was satisfied with her hole she moved all the eggs down and they were all in a pile as eggs are, all 44 of them. She laid them on the 7th, day #25 days. Her weight before laying was 122 grams and after laying was 68.5 grams. Quite a weight loss! She has gained some of that back and looking like her old self.

I checked on the eggs today and they are white and plump in the box. What a job Socrates!

Enjoy the pics.

When I see that many eggs all I see are $$$, and not in the way that $$$ will be coming in from selling them! :):):)

Hubby is encouraging me. If he is willing to support the babies until they are sold then it's ok! No more veiled pregnancies I think my ladies have had their limit.

Next project will be to get a mating pair of Nosy Be's or ..... Whatever I can lay my hands on. I know a distributor who will be getting iin WC's next year if I want. I actually am waiting to see what comes my way. I would rather purchase from a forum member or one of our sponsors and get a CB. I have been around long enough to see that they are healthier and great lookiing!

Those photos of her laying are amazing! :D I found them fascinating as Lily has never laid a clutch - I'm still waiting for that stressful experience!! She keeps showing receptive colours but has not laid before and she's just over a year old now! She is looking a bit 'lumpier' lately, so maybe she'll lay soon!

Your little lady must have been desperate to lay - I thought they usually turn around in the hole first before they start popping the eggs out!

Tiff

Now-you know I have 27 Nosy eggs incubating right now! They should hatch around May-June and you know I will make you a great deal! I will also have another unrelated clutch shortly after that! :)

LOL - That sounds like an idea. I can drive over there and pick it up myself! Maybe bring you a little something special to mix up your veiled's genes with.
