Looking to get a carpet in September. Who owns carpets?

We've promised my daughter that if she saves her money all summer, we will double what she saves and allow her to get a carpet!!! That being said, I own a panther and jackson. I have no idea how to keep a carpet. Cage requirements. Food. The whole Shabang. I've looked things up here and there, but now I'm going to start doing the real searching and preparing. I know they get from around 5-10 inches. We will be getting a male so I don't need info on egg laying. Anyway, I'd greatly appreciate any info you guys want to throw on here. Pictures of enclosures, what your feeding, supplementation routines, cage temps, whatever you feel is necessary to know when keeping carpets! Thanks in advance!
