What's up everyone!!!!!!
Since my last update on Freddie he's been a little off in his eating habits. I just had him tested 4 parasites and 4 the second time in my care has come back clear no parasites Vet said he's in good health. I handled him today to transfer him 4 a bit of natural sun and was able to put my ear to his body and his breathing had no sound no popping or bubbly sounds either sounded clear what's bugging me is he refuses to eat crickets n will eat 2 super worms a day not enough in my eyes I don't think he's getting the calcium needed even when I dust them any thoughts thanks in advance

How old is Freddie? It could be many factors such as metabolic rate fluctuating with age, soon to shed, overfed and having the ability to be picky, etc.

If you really want to know, go get something really delicious, like a katydid. Something green and irresistible. If he nabs it, then you will no it's just a picky hunger strike. If he doesn't, then it may be more towards the metabolic rate issue. Either way, you had him to the vet for a check up. So, if the vet gave him a clean bill of health, just keep a watchful eye on his weight. If he starts dropping weight or becoming lethargic, that is when you know you are witnessing an issue. Until then, no worries! Unless of course your husbandry is playing a part....but I doubt that if he is healthy! Could you post a pic?

After I fed him that cicada he didn't eat 4 a couple days could understand it was a big meal about 3 days later he ate everything in sight then went on strike he has had a few silk worms and horned worm aswell but random here n there left some to die here's a pic not sure it will help as its night time here n lights r out

I will post a few tomorrow he's active climbing the walls all day and sits on the side I keep his worms n food poop looked a bit dehydrated with a tinge of orange a few days ago but has been looking better n better as days gone buy it is about time 4 him to shed I think but will he even with the lack of food?

Little bugger makes me worry n there's nothing wrong lol I even tried to give him a few days to get hungry n still said no to crickets

If he is pooping well and his urates look good, I wouldn't worry. I think that he is just hunger striking and it's probably coupled with an upcoming shed.

As they mature, your feeding should decrease drastically. Now at 7 months old, I would keep feeding him as much as he wanted. But once he hits 10 month to a year, I would start decreasing amounts and intervals.

All my adult chameleons eat every other day, not everyday. The only time this changes is if I am rehabilitating one or if I have a gravid female. But it is natural to worry. It's a good thing actually. Like I said, just keep an eye on him and make sure he is hydrated.

Cool thanks poops r small compared to the past but if intake is low output will b low too thanks again now I've posted a tread on is he a blue bar or red in past and only got a couple responses the vet leaned more towards a red bar but said she's been wrong before any thoughs

They can fluctuate with age, but I see a red bar.

I have to say this too. If the poop are irregular or too small, there is a chance he could have a minor impaction/obstruction as well.

His bars r always red when he was small was the only time I seen close to a blue bar. I got lucky I believe with my pet shop after brining it to there attention that I didn't get what I payed 4 they agreed to replace him but i had to give back Freddie I refused to give him up 4 a breeders n there mistake. after a small conversation they finally agreed to just replace him with a blue bar so I will have an edition in time which is awesome can anyone give me a few tips on what to look 4 to ensure n I know it's tough at young age but there's got to b a couple trick out there???
