Looking for some constructive criticism :)

k heres what i got first welcome and looks like a nice veiled you have...

right now you got to much uvb going just 1 5.o is good, most members suggest the linear style zoomed reptisun 5.o a 18" would be great for you cage.
i would either stick with your carpet ( cleaning it alot ) or bare i hate paper towel for a few reasons
i would get some cricket crack like you suggested or look at the thread going right now on drygutload, i too have the orange cube and they suc, sorry i just use water cubes and a really good mix of fruits and veggies.. you can search this and find tons of great info, ferrititmyshoes has a great link in her sig,
i would watch temp having a 100w right on top but being dimmable its prob easy to maintain
as for suppliment the basic concensis is plain calcium w/o d3 at most feedings, calcium w/d3 twice a month as well as a mutivitamin twice a month

hope this helps

hoj

okay i turned off the 10.0 ill just stick with the 5 and for sure look into linear uvb setup
iv been closely monitoring the ceramic heat bulb and iv got it right about 95ish iv read some stuff about the screen getting too hot and causing burns so im also looking for anyhting to raise the dome up some

another thing i was kinda worried about is on his head the crevices between his scales are whitish im not sure if that is dirt or if he is about to shed its looked like that for the past couple days and i know a cham shed is fast so i dont know if im looking at dehydration or what but iv been misting his cage 3 times a day

i tried to snap some pics but hes being all pissy ill try later

what the others said and I don't think you need the tinfoil! Are trying to reflect the light or something?? If that sticky tongue has the d3 in it then use that twice a month and get what Hoj told you to get.

white can be a shed or just normal color my guy oftem has very pale white looking parts to his casque.. did you light not come with a clamp stand..
95 in pretty hot is that right upto the bulb or at the basking site
do you have a humidty meter going
you should fill out the how to ask for help form i will attach it here in a sec

:p yup carol it was for reflection but seeing how i had to uvb going on its off

yea hoj thats the general basking area seemed a little concerning you thought it was too hot so i turned it down ima grab a temp of it in a little, so for the basking area i should be in around the low 90s high 80s?

* Your Chameleon - Veiled, male, little over a year we are assuming, we've had him for about a week
* Handling - we've held him once since we got him
* Feeding - Crickets, few superworms and so far 1 baby gerbil, zoomed gutload with flukers orange crap, he takes about 3 crickets in the morning couple in the afternoon and about 5 in the evening
* Supplements - we sticky tounge miner-all and the gf should be on her way home with some calc w/o d3 and a multivitiam
* Watering - plastic cup with a hole in the bottom for a dripper and 3 mists a day untill most leaves have droplets on them
* Fecal Description - brown turd with some milky stuff contain some orange urates so from that i am assuming he is dehydrated and no we havnt tested it

Cage Info:

* Cage Type - all screen 18x18x48
* Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule? Exoterra repti glo 5.o and a ceramic heat emitter, lights come on 8am and go off at 8pm
* Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps? low to mid 90s in the basking spot cage floor is about 70 i have a digital temp/humidity gauge in the middle and a temp gun for specific areas temps dont drop below the high 60s
* Humidity - digital humidity gauge is reading 65 at the moment just misted about half an hour ago, im using a spray bottle turned down to spray a fine mist
* Plants - no live plants
* Placement - his cage is in my room not much traffic besides me and my girl, hes on the far side opposite of any windows, im 5''11' and the top of the cage is little past my head
* Location - western pa

Current Problem - nothing major just general concerns about temps/humidity/setup

thing look good imo and you are making the right adjustments.. i would concider some live plants pothos is a great one to start with cheap,and easy and good for your cham, some veiled like to munch plants
