Looking for critique and suggestions

OK here is my cage, it's aluminum screen with one large vine and a small vine, a ficus plant. What else would be nice for spartan to have decorwise?

It came with a dome light with a 60w blue light and a 30" fixture with a repti sun 5.0 UVB.

and a little dripper.

The 60w doesn't seem strong enough, should I go with a 100 watter?

Also my house gets real real cold at night, should I get a 100w night bulb or maybe a ceramic heater.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. T.I.A.

I will try to get better pics in the AM

what r your temps at the basking site?

and what is the temperature at night in your house....chams dont have lights at night since they sleep at night, and they can take temps as low as 60 degrees f....

in my opnion ad more foilage of live plants, live a pothos and a moe sticks...let him have a hiding place amongst the leaves.........your set up looks good, though i feel he might be good for a bogger cage...:)

As long as you place his basking perch close enough to the bulb where the temps are around 85 degrees there is really no need to change the wattage. I also like to stick to lower wattage bulbs because there is a much lower risk of burns. Like Ace stated, I think a larger cage would be in order for your cham.:)

not too sure what the temps are at the moment as I dont have any thermometers yet, my house gets to about 40 - 50 degrees.

what type of night time heat source do you suggest, and what temp is good for them at night?

I forgot to mention that I am going shopping for him tomorrow too.

As for a temp gauge, I was thinking of a temp gun over a digital thermometer.

I will also buy more branches and vines. and maybe stop at HD for some pathos.

Any other suggestions on what I should get.

As far as cages this one has to do for now, I plan on one in the near future. It's 2'x2'x4' BTW.

 Wow your house get's COLD.

Temp guns are good

I would say 70-75 degrees would be ideal, and i think the best way to go would be a ceramic heat emitter because they don't give off light.

Make sure you repot your pothos with organic soil and wash off the leaves and vines very well to remove all pesticides and what not.

Try getting a schefflera abricola (Dwarf umbrella tree) also to add to your enclosure

You know what you are right, that does sound too cold:p. could be and most likely im wrong, just feels that cold lol. I will run the heater on full tonight until I can get a ceramic heat emitter in the morning.

no don't. your temps inside the house is not that cold unless you are sleeping in your winter coat. no joke. don't do it.
he will be fine.

get a temp gun or gage in the morning....you can't be that cold.
man, I got my windows open in my apartmen and look where I live. then think that I'm 3 hours ahead of you and my outside temps are 36F and inside with a drop of heat now and then it's 69F in my living room.

chill out, I mean relax. he will be fine in the morning.
can you post your zip code in a PM to me so I can see your outside temps real fast?

Harry
