I saw in person a large amount of the males from that clutch, that were around 7-8 months old. The coloration looks nothing like a sambava at that age, or an adult. The coloration looks like a blue bar ambilobe. the pattern does look like a sambava however, with the u-bar.
I have raised sambava that have proven out past that age and they look nothing like that.
The female who was the mom to this clutch was sold as a pure sambava from Screameleons, but we think there was a mix up.
Both me and hubert concluded that they were not pure sambava, and I also asked people who have been in the hobby for a long time and they also concluded the same.
The male that I kept actually looks like a faly/sambava cross.. I may post photos of him.
They do look a lot better than a typical sambava in my opinion, but many have a stigma towards cross locales.
