I am hoping with all the knowledgable folks on this forum someone may know a similar site for leopard geckos? Or if someone here could help me please PM me. My friend is having some issues with her geckos.

Post in the other pets section that you need gecko help we have a lot of gecko owners and a few breeder's. This is one of the breeders, clarkrw3 if you send him a PM I am sure he will help.

I have leos- what is the current issue? Eye problems are the most common and can be fixed fairly easily. They can also have shed issues if they do not have a moist hide. If you give me some info as to the symptoms I can either answer the question or get an answer. :)

It was my girlfriend's leos. They both were anorexic for about two weeks. Got in touch with Dayna and she felt they both had MBD. Which is reasonable since they were not really supplemented properly. They did not have humid hides and the temps were too low. She adjusted the lighting so the temps were better added the humid hide and has been force feeding calciworms until they get a little stronger. One of the girls has an injured leg but even that seems to be improving. I got a hold of some calcium glubionate and am waiting for it to come in the mail. I also encouraged my friend to join here because there is tons of information that can be applied to all reptiles, especially bugs and gutloading. If it is OK with you I can have my friend contact you as well to get some advice? I know one of her leos has a bad eye so maybe she can figure out what is going on with it.

Sure you can pm anytime. Cham care with a few tweaks (because leos are nocturnal) is also excellent leo care. I feed mine the same thing I feed my chams-silkworms, butter worms, phoenix worms and gut-loaded crickets. For calcium some people insist on a dish of calcium powder in the cage-mine just knock it over. I dust my feeders 2-3 times a week with plain calcium and reptivite 2 times a month and mine do great. The vitamin is very important because the eye issue is probably either shed in the eye or a Vit A deficiency. Dayna has gone through a lot with her leo girls, she will be an excellent resource. Hope they get better! :)
