Feed it bugs! Give it a nice little aquarium/home with lots of sticks and leaves. That's how I kept mine when I found one as a child.

Very small crickets or fruit flies? He probably drinks the dew off of leaves....that's my guess, but someone with more experience can hopefully chime in.

They eat ff flies and you can mist the enclosure very lightly and it will drink the drops ....I was told to feed and mist every 3 days...they are incredible little bugs with:) cute personalities

Lol I used to get mantis' up in the mountains all the time!... and stick bugs... and weird beetles... and black widows... to be continued :p

EDIT: LMAO those beetles would scare the heck out of our dogs... They had GIANT eyes!!!

Small crickets, roaches, and fruit flies for food. Mist very, very lightly for water. A small enclosure with twigs in it that is at least 3x as high as he is long for housing. Make sure it has a little airflow. Room temp works, but slightly warmer (80s) will make him grow faster. Feed as much as he will eat.

Appreciate everyone's input but he seems to be just about dead.. :( I found him in a house that just got built that my fiance is cleaning because its been sold.. and he wasnt to active in the first place and now not holding himself up.. still moving but not much :(

Darn it all!! Maybe just keep him warm and throw in a few sticks and hand catch a fly, he may gain some energy. Or idk anything about mantids but try cricket gut load and see if he will eat it. Just an idea
