So i have my cham doors open cause i just sprayed them, and i walk into the kitchen to make some more gutload for cricket bin. Im in there for maybe 2 minutes and I hear a loud noise hitting the plastic bin and ran back to see what the noise was. Well, i came into the room to see my female veiled Leaf pigging out over the cricket bin. Looks like she wont be having dinner.

Oh my gosh I would be mad if mine did that because of how many are in the bin. Haha. But its funny.

That is really funny.
Stop starving your chameleons and they wont do that.lol

haha both my chams are spoiled pigs. My panthers on a little feeding strike this week and hes not eating cricket, only worms, but my female veiled will eat crickets whenever given the opportunity. She eats so fast too i'll put in like 6 crix, a superworm, and a small phoenix worm or 2 and she'll have eaten them in like 30 seconds....literally. She probably tagged 10 crickets while i was out of the room. haha

Geeze....
You think it is instinct for a female chameleon to eat a lot for egg production?
How old is she?

Justin, she was born the 3rd week of October making her about 3.5 months old and i do believe she is gravid. Her belly has gotten HUGE in the last couple of weeks and she is drinking more than i have ever seen her. Ive bumped up her calcium intake. Shes been pacing her egg chamber lately so im thinking in the next few days she'll be digging around.

Boy, get your grubby little mitts out of that cookie jar!:D
hahah no kidding!

Edit- i know 3.5 months seems young to be gravid but compared to average females of this age she is MUCH bigger than i have ever seen. I think this has to do with her father cause her father is enormous.

Haha, for some reason I picture the "just for laughs" music in the background, but that's a really smart chameleon!
