I have seen a documentary on them before. But it was definitely worth seeing again. Now if we can get a result like this by mating two different Chams, it would be even more impressive.
Are these sterile, like a mule? If not I am curious to see if two ligers were to reproduce if it would make more, or if it would give different genes to make it look more like a tiger or lion.
Aparently they are fertile, although I don't think many ligers have been crossed. I think it's only the female ligers that are fertile? So you would have to cross a female liger with a male tiger or something like that. But I'm not completely sure about that.
Only the females are fertile. Maybe it's natures way of saying that we dont need massive cats running around in addition to the already amazingly skilled big cats that we already have?
