Just a minute ago I lifted the cover on my Cham's cage to check on her and she woke up and looked at me like.. WTH? What do you want? I was like... Sorry... LOL! BTW I cover her cage at night because it's in the office of the house and either my husband and I are almost always on the computer, so it's never completely dark in here. :p Just the look she gave me cracked me up.. hehehehehe

i once foudn my missing cham baby behind my television, 24 hours after he went missing, and 20 feet away in another room.

Camille my female veiled was the entertainer in the family. We had just left the vet and stopped to get some food before our two hour drive home. Camille was on her plant and the plant sits in the floor of the passenger side of the car. Of course we had to eat in the car it was way too hot to leave Camille in the car. My husband goes in and gets some food and brings it out and we open our containers and start to eat. Well here comes Camille eyeing our food and getting closer like she’s going to shoot. Then she sees our drinks in the cup holders between the two front seats and she shoots and has a drink of coke. I cup feed so I’m not sure if she thought bugs were in the cup or if she was just thirsty. :D

she was tired after her grueling vet visit, she needed some sugar from the soda!

LOL! TOO cute about the soda! And behind the TV in another room?? DANG! lol

yes that was scary.

and he was only like 3 inches long, id had him for like 2 days.
he got off his fr, crawled under a door, past my dog, AND my cat, and i found him 20 feet down the hall.. on my tv cables.
the next day.

Yesterday I took Patchouli to the vet. Luckily he was honest enough to tell me he didn't really know enough about Chams to be able to give her the best exam possible. Anyway, we were in the waiting room and she was on my hand. Everyone was Ohhhhing and Ahhhhhing over her of course.. It was like she knew and then she just HAD to show off. One side turned brown and white and the other side turned green with brown spots. Everyone was like.. OMG! Her sides are different from each other! I was like.. Show off.. heheheheh

Krash escape for the 2nd time not too long ago. This time was for 12 days.
Turns out he decided to walk to my sons school (only 1/10m away), I think because I take him with me to pick him up he knew the route!!. Just hung out on the banana tree til a parent found him and called :)
Anne
He had to walk across a street, and by 2 feral cats!

OK, I've got a couple of rather "historic" stories about my melleri Mufindi:

Mufindi was free ranging and liked to toast herself on a plant stand in the south facing window next to the front door. I'd usually give her a hornworm or two. A colleague who hadn't met her showed up at the door. Usually everyone who saw Mufindi ooohed and ahhhed at how beautiful she was. When I pointed her out, the friend looked horrified and backed away. Puzzled, I looked at Mufindi and saw she had a long string of partially dried hornworm guts dangling from her chin! She gave us this look..."What the heck, do I have spinach in my teeth or something?"

Mufindi liked to visit the warm fan motor box on the back of my fridge for a little rest. It was part of her normal patrol route so I was used to her disappearing and reappearing after a while. I'd invited neighbors with teenage kids over to meet the zoo, bring a movie, and share pizza. The kids chose Jurassic Park II. Mufindi was in her hiding spot when they arrived, we got busy with pizza and the movie and I simply forgot about her. With impreccable timing Mufindi chose one of the more gruesome dino feast scenes to walk across the room, climb up the back of the couch, and reach out to climb onto one of the kids' shirts. I saw her too late to do anything. She touched the boy's neck, he whipped around, and saw a green and yellow striped dinosaur grabbing at him. He screamed, tossed his pizza into the air and leaped off the couch. Everyone else yelled and leaped too. I of course was laughing so hard I almost choked. Mufindi stared at us as if we were crazy...after all it was HER couch. Apologies and introductions followed.

When I had a pair of quads I waited like 15 long minutes waiting looking thru my camara trying to catch my cham too shoot his tounge at this locust.after 15 min a tounge came out from the side ( the female shot her tounge at the locust) and there went my pic .I didn't take the pic cuz I didn't expect it :) any ways it was one of those u had to b there.

My female veiled carla was getting x-rayed for eggs. The vet klets Carla climb onto her (the vet's) arm, and she carried Carla away to the x-ray room.

45 minutes later, the vet returned saying "Well somebody was very antsy and didn't want to stay in one spot for the x-ray machine". Carla was on the vets back, in a place that the vet could not reach. epic.
