Lobster Roaches and Feeder Cups???

I picked up a huge colony of lobster roaches on Sunday. I cleaned their bin, gave them food, and layered the top portion with vaseline. Now I'm thinking about feeding a couple to my Chameleons, but really not sure how. I have feeder cups and hoping to put them in there (maybe get the chams to start eating without being hand feed). Anyways I read that you need to line the feeder cup with vaseline so they can't get out.

Does anyone have experience with lobster roaches?

lobster roaches

I used to breed a lot of lobster roaches-it's really easy- just try to stop them.
The main problem is they can climb just about anything including clean glass
and plastic. I would put them in a tall cup with vaseline around the top or put them in the cage one at a time and watch until they were eaten. I ended up getting rid of all of them because it was so time consuming to feed them off and I worried about the chams consuming vaseline
The dubia are easier or blaberous if you need large roaches. Good luck.

I don't know if this would work or not but I would try it in the breeding tub below the vasoline line. Try a strip of clear packing tape. Might not be as messy for your Cham if yours like to step on the feeding cup like mine does.

I forgot to mention that you have to keep refreshing the vaseline around the top of enclosures because it gets a film over it and the roaches will learn to walk right over it.
