Woo! My dad is letting me get another veiled. We want the veiled package from lllreptile. Is it good? Also, where does lllreptile ship from? And my dad is worried about the heat, he is scared the Cham might die from it on the way. Does this happen?

LLLreptile is California. If the chameleon is shipped properly with ice pack it will be ok, make sure to purchase one, they are like $1. Congratulations on the soon to be new edition

make sure you tell them what you want male or female and that the males have a "spur" or bumb on the heels of the back feet..

congrats..they have good lil chams!

My Purchase was from LLLReptile. The package is worth it. You will still want to buy a few extra things like vines, foliage, dripper, etc. I believe it comes with a little of each? The cage will hold up, its a bit wobbly but will hold up. The zipper screen was my least favorite thing about it, you will have to puncture and repair the screen to slip a temperature probe through or position the zipper at a bottom corner and have the chord run through the end.

The Chameleon will be packaged good, you will recieve him in a small box packed with cushion, egg crate and your cham inside a plastic container. Ice pack is very reccomended. Their shipping is great, after purchase they send everything but the chameleon. When you get your enclosure set up, you give them a call and tell them when you want the chameleon to be shipped and they overnight it to you. I even requested a male and got one, so if you have a preference don't hesitate to ask.

Let me make a suggestion tikitiki also has a nice starter set up I believe it's only $155. You can slo pay a lil bit more and pick the colors of the Cham you want. I purchased one from there a few weeks ago and he is great. They check the weather in their area and mine and include whatever they feel is need for a safe arrival. I didn't purchase the starter kit because I wanted to make my own cage but it look pretty good. Just check out TikiTikireptiles.com.

None of the cages I purchased at LLLreptile are the reptarium style zipper kind. They are all well made sturdy cages. It depends on what type of cage you purchased. Keep in mind that you can just buy the chameleon and cage and accessorize on your own, and do it creatively and save money. Go to the dollar store for vines, craft store for wire, collect your own branches, get plants at lowes, make your own dripper etc....

@suzi - unless its changed in the passed 6 months, the chameleon package that they had advertised when I made my purchase only listed the zipper style cage in the package

I am sure you are right. I personally have never purchased a package deal.

I got the zipper one yesterday and love it. clair loves it to. she can climb anywhere she wants :) if you do that id suggest a drip tray. however. you might not like this cage like i do. when u unzip it will upset ur cham becuase the cage moves a bit. its up to you.

I have read that they are great due to the easy cleaning (throw in the washing machine) a bit on the dark side in terms of your own visual pleasure but make a great sunning cage if you decide to get it then upgrade :)
Edit: I have also read that crickets can chew threw them which is why I haven't bought one, but I know some people have them with success.

Should have kept my old one after i built the new one. Could have used it in the back for the one hour or decent temperatures at 8 in the morning. never had a problem with crickets chewing through mine, had it for 5 months maybe. again, my only problem was running temperature probes into it, i didnt want to put any holes in the screen as I was afraid it would just expand like a hole in a trampoline. so i left the zipper at the bottom left and ran my cords through the end, i had to stuff some paper towels at the zipper end to keep crickets from getting out.

Yup! If you cup feed no problem, I am definitely getting a bunch of the hanging ones for sunning The babies :)
Edit: the collapsable laundry bags at target are the same thong and much cheaper

Thank you everyone!
Seems like im going to get a cham soon. :) I saved up 62 dollars myself for him!:)
Cant wait.

Just noticed you live in texas. I, myself, live in texas. San Antonio to be exact.

With an ice pack, being present at delivery, and a healthy chameleon to begin with; he/she will arrive safely.
