So, LLL is having their "Grand Opening Sale" tomorrow and I looked on their website and was unable to see an opening time for Saturday. Does anyone know when they open? Also, I am looking into purchasing everything I need for a new cham. I don't have one so I have nothing, with the exception of a hood for an 18" linear tube and a clamp lamp with a basking bulb.

I know I need supplements for dusting and whatnot but I would like to quadruple check that I have thought of everything. So if someone wouldn't mind to tell me EVERYTHING that they have to ensure proper health and a happy life for their own personal chameleon, to assist me in making my list of required items.

Thank you guys so much, you've always been very kind and helpful. Also, if I were to get a 24X24X48 screen cage and made a divider so they didn't have ALL of that space until they were large/old enough would that be alright? Thanks again!

Check their web site! I think they a have a phone number as well...

Ok, lets see if I can get it all lol

- Reptisun 5.0 for UV
- Heat bulb (you already have one, so great. A normal house bulb will do)
- A phosphorous free Calcium WITHOUT D3
- A phosphorous free Calcium WITH D3
- A multivitamin
- A digital thermometer
- A digital hydrometer

And I think that's about it off the top of my head. Obviously, then you need plants and branches, but you can get those at Lowes/Home Depot and get branches from your yard/outside.

I've never had a problem with small babies in large spaces, I found that they actually did better in my limited experience. But you can totally make a divider for the cage, that's not a problem.

Thanks Gensen!

I'm actually really excited to go pick everything out for him (or her). It's awesome to be overly prepared. I got a Veiled from Petco, and the lady told me to get all the wrong stuff and "Big Guy" got really sick. I took him back and it turns out he passed away. I've done alot more research and am much more confident, I just don't want to accidentally forget something, like I dunno food or something ;)

Is it a bad move to not only get all of the things for my cham, but buy a cham and bring it home with me although he will have a little wait for his set up?

I'd set up everything first and then go back for a chameleon. Especially if you're not used to making set-ups (like I have 6 now, and with every new guy I build the cage the night before, because I've done it so many times I know exactly how all the temps and such are going to work out) but you'll have to set it up and check that the temps are good and that it's a good environment for your guy.

For supplements, it's harder to OD your chameleon on D3 with sticky tongue minerall. I now prefer their supplements. D3 can be used several times weekly with their supplements and still not add up to the amount of d3 in repcal.
