I'm looking at cb panthers from LLL and Screameleon. If anyone has any prior dealings with either that can give me some pros or cons about either operation. I appreciate any info you guys might have. The prices at LLL are a little lower but thats not what i consider when purchasing an animal.

LLL reptile in many cases offers WC panther chameleons, or CB young ones. Screameleons for the most part is all CB and young animals.

Screameleons will always cost more, however their support is great and should something go wrong with the animal, you can contact them even if its 5 years old, or two days in your hands. I sort of doubt the same policy will hold with LLL.

Its up to you, but you pay for what you get either way.

The answer will rely on what you want out of your cham.....

Do you care where the cham is from? as in...... do you want to know the lineage? If you buy from LLL (this is NO SLIGHT!) you most likely won't know the blood lines the cham is from. This is ONLY important if you plan to breed. If you are just looking for a 'pet' then LLL is just fine, especially for the price.

If you plan to breed (make sure you have thought about this... it isn't cheap) then getting the cham from a 'breeder' is a good idea. This is good because you can find out the history of the bloodline.

Just want to make sure i get quality animals. I'm not ready to start breeding at the present time. I used to breed calyptratus, and jacksonii, and ambanjas
Its very time consuming and nerve wracking to raise 30-40 babies plus take care of your breeders too. I'm mainly looking for a pet/display animal now. I may decide to breed in a year or so. If i find the right male/female combo.

LLL also doesn't guarantee sex... So If you dont care about the sex, then it doesn't matter. If you're looking for inexpensive, then you may want to give chameleons101.com a call.

I have not dealt with either as far as live purchases, but I have purchased from FLChams more than once and cannot say enough good things about their business. They have cb chams for sale, and right now I believe they still have 1/2 off shipping prices. Good luck making a decision!

Thanks everyone for the info. I've never mail ordered a reptile before so i'm kinda worried about my future family member. lol I'vve always bought locally from breeders or at herp shows. I ordered my screen cage and lights. So once those are set up and my plants are purchased i will make my decisin.:D

lll reptiles seems more like a supply company. Screamelons has very nice chameleon bloodlines so I'd go with them also.
