In addition to just lists of safe plants, we all need to become amateur botanists to some small degree, After you decide on some plants you'd like, it'd be a good idea to look those plants up individually and learn about their requirements—soil, drainage, watering, feeding, light... For example, a plant that thrives in full sunlight may not do so well under larger plants that dominate it in the enclosure. A plant that likes drier conditions may not do well where it gets misted/watered several times a day.

You're building a little eco-system for your chameleon to live in. This works better when all the plants are compatible and harmonize.
