Live plants?

I might pick up a live ficus today from my local garden center any DOs and donts anything I should be concerned with or ask the garden center?

Just make sure that you wash the plant off well. Sometimes they spray fertilizer and pesticides on the plants, and that can harm the chameleon.

Yes, definitely wash well with water and antibacterial soap and rinse soap off completely. I also prefer to repot my plants with organic soil, but I know not everybody does. You will probably need to cover your soil as well. Many chameleons find soil very appetizing...
