i was planning on getting a live plant but now im not sure, what live plant to get? how much misting/wattering is needed? do i need sunlight shining on it or some sort of UVB? what site to get it from? still so much to know

Something like a pothos, ficus, or umbrella plant are nice to have and are pretty easy to take care of. I am no plant expert and have a pothos and ficus, they are doing great in my cage.

Pothos is considered to be the easiest chameleon friendly plant to maintain. Mine survives on the water from my misting system alone. The other plants in the plant list are all nice too but not as easy. IMO https://www.chameleonforums.com/care/plants/
Plants require different light than UVB bulb. Plant bulbs can be purchased at home improvement stores.

Do you mean ficus? If you do I find them pretty easy. Mine dropped a lot of leaves when I got but it is still growing so I must be doing something right.
i used to have one but i killed it.. didnt do to much research. i may get it off LLLreptiles, where i got my veiled. i just looked and the small ones are super cheap

I got mine from walmart for about 20 dollars and it was about 2 feet tall.

I just wash the leaves off and repot the plant in an organic soil mix. Sorry should have said that earlier. I also cover the soil with larger than a quarter sized rocks to prevent soil ingestion.

Ficus aren't too hard to keep alive but umbrella plant is easier.
I spent $50 on a large umbrella plant and killed it within 2 months. Haha. I have had the same ficus for 2 years but it only has leaves left on the top and looks pathetic. Pothos however I have never had an issue keeping alive and recently purchased one at lowes that has all the vines tied up a pole like a tree. Fingers crossed it lasts a while.
