lmfao i was just about to suggest about getting rid of the water bowl then i noticed your dripper right above it silly me he he he he!!!

I want to get rid of the water bowl, I really do! It's such a pain in the ass to empty 2x day, trying to maneuver through the leaves and branches.... and not to mention by the time I get home it's overflowing
I haven't found a way to position the live plant I have in there to where the dripper will drip into the plant.
I'm hoping when I get some new plants in there I can manage to get the dripper to drip into the plant so I can get rid of the bowl.

what type of UVB do you have?

I have a regular 5.0 Reptiglo 18" tube bulb with hood...

Sounds to me like you are over watering it. I had the same problem when I first started, not having much experience with the plant/animal combo. If you are running a dripper and misting your cham, this should be enough to keep your plant thriving, I never deliberately water my plants anymore. I would recommend changing the soil and keeping the plant outside for atleast a week or more to try and revive it. Problem is if the stays to wet, the roots start to rot.

I could be wrong though, I'm by no means a green thumb, and it could be a number of other problems, including insects. This is just my take on the issue, like I said i'm thinking it's root rot from to much water.

okay, awesome. Me too! I'm going to try a hibiscus plant. Hopefully it will fit in my enclosure.

Like I said in one of my previous posts: I'm going to try to arrange the new plant that I get and possibly rearrange my dripper to where the water will drip into the plant all day... however, I wonder if that will over water it?

if you do that it will most definatley over water it ..you may want to look into making a drainage system for underneath your enclosure (i forget where but there are some great threads with pics of some different ideas and builds of drainage systems)..also as for hibiscus, and pothos..the hibiscus usually require part to full sun, as for pothos are mid shade to part sun..ive always gone ficus, since they are shade loving and partial sun..

withthat cage you can put a pc of wood across the top and run a pc of string throught the screen and around the pc of wood and hang your othos that way

cham addict? I'm getting there this is my first cham. Started out with a veiled. One day I would like to own a panther, however, I have a lot to learn first. My 3 1/2 year old son is really enjoying our Hank we just moved into our first home and really wanted a pet. Figured we'd start small and work out way towards a dog LOL

well sounds like a good start..and i hate to say it..but chameleons are like crack..just waay easier to get, and you can even get them mailed to your house!! lol..veileds are still very colorfull (even females produce some nice blues, and when gravid are a crazey black with yellow and blue triangular spots..usually that color to tell a male to f-off, lol)..well good luck!!

hope to see some pics of "hank" sometime soon!
