Live Curly Willows For Juvenile Panthers

Hi forum members, I was hoping someone could shed some light on the use of *live* curly willow branches bought from my local supermarket. They are the perfect size for my 3 month old Ambilobe, and allow him to exercise his gripping strength on different branches with multiple widths. All the live cuttings were washed with soap, water, and hydrogen peroxide. Should they be safe now for the enclosure? Or do I need to dry them first in the oven? The enclosure dries out completely between automatically scheduled misting sessions (except for droplets on the pothos), so is rotting a concern? I do anticipate the willow branches will die eventually, as I do not intend for them to be planted in soil. Thanks for any thoughts on the matter. Just being a paranoid dad.
