Lilly's new setup

She was living in a 12 by 12 by 18 glass terrarium, but i decided it was time for an upgrade for her. I went and got her a cloth screen enclosure and laid chicken wire across the top for support for the lights. In the hood I have a 5.0 uvb coil bulb and a regular 35 watt household bulb and in the back I have a small dome light with a 60watt uva daytime bulb. I also have an umbrella plant in the back of the enclosure that is barely hanging in there by the looks of it. I do have another one outside that I will switch out when I must. Then you can see all of the climbing sticks. And the big pot in the front is her new and improved laying pot. It's full of wet potting soil organic. i figured it would give her privacy because of how deep it was. Her enclosure is now 16 by 16 by 30. I'm always looking for new ideas and ways to improve Lilly's setup. Let me know if you have any ideas!

your cage could use some more foilage. There is really no place for her to hide or feel comfortable uptop. I would get rid of some of those sticks and get some of the bio vines and try and hang them horizontally. All your sticks are basically vertical. Does the soil in the laying bin hold a tunnel? How deep is it? Also, what are your cage temps?. You have two basking bulbs and in that small of a cage it is not necessary to have one in the front and one in the back. You want a place in the cage where she can be high up and cool off without having to go to the cage floor. If your cage were much bigger then a couple of basking spots would be ok.

Well right now the reason I have two basking spots is because it's been pretty cold lately and i don't have any heat running. But I will take out one bulb in the hood. Also the dirt in the pot is about one foot deep i say. and there is only five inches from the top and she is able to crawl out. I put her in there and she was able to climb out effortlessly.

Yes In the blog it says wet sand as well. but Im jusst using what it available to me at the moment. And Lilly is about six months old. I also took out a basking spot and put more foliage across the vertical sticks and not she can have more coverage. I also gave her a ladder inside the laying pot.

The laying bin doesn't have to be sand, my Azura prefers dirt much better to sand, she refuses to lay in anything else.

She's a cutie pie, by the way. Super cute girl. I'm a big fan of panther females. And the cage looks really good now!

Thanks! She's super fickle, but affectionate. Likes to sit in my hand when i take her outside :) And yeah, i've got vines and leaves just lying around, so between her & the gecko's, they're pretty set.
