very new to this just wondering if i should put my night light in the cage during the night? not sure if I should put the red light on.

No...no lights or heat are needed (you want it completely dark)

The night heat lamps aren't needed. You want it dark and the temps to drop, atleast 10-15 degrees at night. When they are too warm at night they dont sleep well and are easily woken. Leading to some cranky chameleons...

is thier any reason to have a night light on at anytime?

turn the night light on only when the temp drop below 60 F (some said you can stretch the limit to below 50 F) . off course, i'm guessing this is veiled or panther?
