lights on my new enclosure

Howdy everyone!
So i got this new custom built cage off of craigslist. Its a double cage where the cagea are side by side. Each cage is a little over 4ft high and a little over 2ft wide. Each came with a mounted 18'' UVA/UVB fixture that is mounted about 1ft above the top of the cage.

SO my question is what type of bulbs would you recommend? Is 18'' going to be long enough? I was thinking of putting in 18'' zoomed 10.0 bulbs. Do you think that would work?

Ya, I can probably "unmount" them. Since the lights are in an enclosed "box" above the cage, light cant escape other than down into the cage, so would 1ft above still be too high?...i just measured and its actually like 7-8'' above the cage...still to high? Would you recommend a 5.0 or 10.0 bulb?
