has anyone bought light hoods from them they look nice but dont show the watts that they can handle so i dont know if it will work with the reptisun bulbs

I have two...they are pricey compared to the ones you find at lowes but I was wanting to run one UVB and one grow light for my plants...They work great for that and fit nice and snug on the top of 2x2x4 cages. They also have switches for each bulb and are not linked so you don't have to worry about one bulb going out and knocking out the other bulb.

so the 18" bulb fixture is what you have and it fits on a 24" cage right i just dont want to order one and then wish that i ordered the other

Ive switched over all of my cages to the dual hoods from Diy. I have both the 18 & 24" models. They are the nicest hoods Ive ever seen or worked with. Individual control over each bulb and also a dual on/off switch also. With built in reflector to boot. I cant say enuff about them I always hated the cheap plastic hoods. After having these I'll never go back. And they arent really that much more exp than a standard hood. They work perfect with repti sun bulbs.

thank you this answered all of my questions at once. looks like this is gonna be my next purchase also when using these are you using two uvb bulbs at once

No I use a 6500 k plant bulb & a 5.0 uvb. Really helps with keep your plants from dying. You'd be suprised how much brighter the cage is after adding this fixture with the double bulbs and the reflector. The bottom half of my cages are lit up.
