Lighting!!!

So i bought a new cage today =] very exciting!!! its a big step up though and i just want to make sure the light is ok. its 48" tall and i have a reptiglo 5.0 do i need a 10.00? oh also the ficus in there is not very big yet it only goes a little over half way up the cage so the lights are kinda far away for basking.
My cham is around 7 month old veiled female. thanks for ur help =]

no the 5.0 is fine for that size cage. Suspend a branch or vine about 8 inches below the basking light.

just to clarify, the reason you need to give them more height is because the UVB is only effective 6-12" from the light source; therefore the basking spot has to be, ideally around 8-10" from the top of the cage (where i'm assuming your light is sitting).

If your light is elevated higher, then make sure to account for that height too



5.0 is the correct bulb


In general, from your description I would guess you should add more sticks/twigs/(plants?) to your enclosure. it should be decently "packed" with sticks from top to bottom
