What species are you dealing with? In general, most will benefit from a 10 degree drop in temperature at night, and unless it's getting below 50℉, heat at night isn't required. Again, that's generalizing it.

A ten degree temp drop is fine for them. And actually beneficial. What are your night temps at the moment? As long as they don't drop below 50℉ you're ok.
