Is there a preference for the uvb lights as in the longer fluorescent type or the smaller coil bulbs the cage is smaller 16x16x30 but getting a bigger one when he ready and also does anyone use night lights I haven't set any thermometers up yet but I asume my room gets down to maybe 65 at night and I don't have the chameleon yet I just want to make sure everything is perfect before I hget one and I only want to purchase once and get what works best

People on the forums suggest the linear tube bulbs over the coil. I have only used the tubes and would recommend them too. A couple years ago, I switched to the arcadia t5 lights and they are much better then the t8 linear tube bulbs. If you are interested in those, Todd at lightyourreptiles.com can help you out. If you are going with the t8, most people suggest the reptisun. hope that helps

There's been a lot of back and forth about the coil lights. I've used them, and I wouldn't recommend them. There's been reports of them causing eye problems, even after said problems were supposed to have been fixed by the companies that provide them. What I know I don't like about them is the fact that your chameleon would have to be directly under them to get anything from it. I have the linear tubes now, and I'll never go back.

Thanks for the feedback so talked to the people at light your reptile they were out of stock on what I needed so I'm about to order a t8 5.0 reptisun light with a zoo med naturalistic hood will these work
