Lighting indoors

I live in sunny San Diego and I have kept my veiled Pascal outside since I got him at 2 months old in may. I bring him in for bedtime every night. Recently it's been getting a lot chillier than usual and I am considering keeping him in as temperatures continue to be in the low 60s, and I have the 5.0 reptisun UVA/UVB bulb and I have a clamp light for the basking. I have a 60 watt red light bulb to have during night so the temperature change won't be too much for him. This will also be the bulb i would use for basking during the day. He is still being outside during the day but i want to make sure everything is right to start keeping him indoors. Is this the correct wattage? Also he has a 16x16x30 rectangular mesh setup and since he is now 8 months old i want to get a larger one, what size do you recommend?

The most often recommended UVB light is the long linear fluorescent Repti-sun 5.0 tube light.

All you need for heat during the day is a dome fixture and a regular incandescent household bulb of a wattage that provides a basking temperature in the right range for the chameleon. No light should be on at night...if the temperature drops below the mid 60's F then you can use a heat emitting "bulb" (its not a light).

The preferred cage size is 24 X 24 X 48.

low 60's isn't too cold for him..... but it'd be good to bring him in either way.

24X24X48 is the good size cage to use. I would recomend DIYcages, or build one your self and make it 2X2X6 for 40 bucks less

Thanks everyone. as far as the lighting on the cage at night it is a heat emitting red light bulb that is 60 watts. Do you think that's fine to have on at night. What wattage of a regular household incandescent bulb do you think would be appropriate for an 8 month old male veiled?
