I just set up this enclosure for my 1 1/2 year old veiled. I was curious about the best light to get to the bottom of the cage any ideas? It's 24" x 24" x 48" setup in the picture is current. Thanks!!
you really don't need any lights that penetrate down to the bottom. If you want to brighten up the cage, you can add another dome with a low wattage like 20 that will not give off much heat but give off light.
yes, I would suggest more vines and branches for walk and pathways. You can get branches from trees outside and run them horizontally and vertically. You can attach the horizontal ones on the outside of the screen with push pins. They work great! Branches can be washed with soap and water and dried. Some people bake them but I have never gone to that extreme. Most of us put nothing on the bottom of the cage. That carpet is gonna get wet and get nasty after awhile. Possibly even mold over. You want it to dry out. You don't wang to create conditions that are constantly damp and wet.
