lighting for plants

you can try using just the uvb light that you are going to use for your chameleon but often times that is not enough. You can safely add a 6500K grow light. They sell them tube style at home depot. You will need a seperate fixture for that unless the fixture you have has room for another bulb.
 
It depends on the type of plants and the amount of light in the room that the plants will be in. I dont use plant lights on my pothos, ficus, or dwarf umbrella plants because I keep my cages in well lit rooms and they thrive without extra lights. I do, however, have to use a 6500K light on hibiscus or else they die on me. I gave up on using hibiscus though.
