Lighting for my new cage

I got a new cage for my panther because he is growing up:) I was wondering what lights I should use? I was thinking a hood light and since I have a double dome I was wondering what to put in there? 2 heat lights? One UVA/UVB and a heat light? Or put a heat light that has UVA/UVB in it with something else? I'm not sure that's why I am asking you guys.

If you have a double dome you will want to get one heat light(white housebulb) and one 5.0 uvb. I, along with most of the members prefer the tube style uvb bulbs. They light up the cage better and provide uvb over a greater area.

Well that is what I would do. I like tube style uvb lights. If you mean another compact uvb light with a heat bulb, then no. I am not sure what you are saying. You need one uvb and one basking spot. Unless your cage is going to be overly large, you can add another basking spot with two separate dome lights.

Ya if you cant fit a 18" linear reptisun or arcadia then go with a reptisun 5.0 cfl and a halogen flood around 45 watt.

if by hood light you mean the long ones for tubes. Would probably be beneficial as many members do prefer them for uv. however if you still want to use your double dome, use one bulb for heat and if at all possibly maybe a lower wattage lower heat emitting bulb around 5000k-6500k for plants if you have any live plants
