Light question

Hi! I dont have my chameleon just yet because i want his new home to be perfect! My partner bought me a "solar-brite" 100W bulb with dome ballister for the new addition. I am now wondering if this peticular bulb is going to be way to hot...even if i get a lamp hanger.
I plan on getting a baby panther. I understand that the basking spot should only be around 80 degrees for the babies. Do you think i should buy a different light? Unfortunately i think she got ripped off because they charged her $90 for this light!

yup... i think you shouldget your money back...and just use a regular hardware bulb about 60-75 watts for heat...

you also need a repti-sun linear uvb tube light....hope this helps

Unfortunately they special ordered it for her saying it was the "best" light for a baby chameleon. They wont take it back...already tried.
