Light fixture search

A member on here told me I could find the exact same fixture on Amazon that you can get from light your reptiles but for a lot less and I could just buy an Arcadias bulb for it. I have been searching Amazon for over an hour with no luck. Anybody know a good keyword I can type in or maybe even provide me with a link? Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Good luck, you save like 33% getting Todd's lightfix/arcadia combos. You will be out an additional $50-75 if you get say a reptisun tropical hood and then order the arcadias. No one is cheaper than LYR if you get hood+bulb, its almost like getting free bulbs with your hood, i dont know how he does it.

And this is coming from a guy that bought arcadia from him, before he started selling hoods.

If you just want a single bulb fixture from amazon, i recomend the sunblaze nanotech

After checking out LYR again, I really like the all in one aspect of his fixtures. I got the 24 inch quad t5 with a uvb, plant, and two daylight bulbs all on a timer. I'm just curious if this will be "too much" light for my panther cham. Obviously, I'll still need a basking light too. Lemme know what you guys think.

1 22" 6% is good for 28" penetration into a 24x24x48 cage, if you put it in the cage. If its sitting on the cage, the screen will knock it down to like 22-24", which is perfect because that is half the cage height. If you got a 12%, you will either need to have a pretty dense potho setup going on, or Todd will recomend doing an extra layer or 2 of screen around the fixture for the first year.

If 4 bulbs makes the cage so bright it seem like the lord is returning, remember each bulb has its own switch. You could even rig it up (because of the fancy timer) to have full bright in the morning and evening, and kick it down to just the uv for 3-4 hours mid day, if heat is an issue.

Plus 4 bulbs is only 250% of 1 bulb in terms of brightness into the cage, due to geometry of the bulb light hitting each other instead of reflecting and going straight down.

Good to know, I think the bulb was twelve, so I better add another layer of screening I guess. Heat should not be an issue because ambient temps in the basement where the reptile room is going to be is only 65-67. That said, I am pretty sure I'll still need a basking light but I will have it all dialed in before the cham gets here so no worries.

We just ordered a light fixture plus bulbs from LYR and our cage is 24" deep, 36" wide, 48" tall and the price plus shipping was very reasonable (with shipping the total was less than $120). I recommend them. I also suggest having it ship to your job (if you can) for two reasons:
1. Shipping to a business is cheaper, and
2. FedEx and UPS deliver to businesses before they deliver to residential addresses. Just an fyi ;)
