My question is i have a 5inch basking dome on my little cage so for my big cage do i need to go to the 8.5 or the 10 inch, and will a bigger dome increase or spread the basking temps better?
In my experience the bigger dome does spread out the concentration. I had a smaller dome on my 18x18x36 and I have a larger one on my larger cage. I can tell a difference of the area it covers. It provides. a good gradient too.
