My previous lamp kept blowing and was only ok up to 60watts i had a 60 watt bulb so i thought there maybe a issue with it.

I then bought a new lamp ( Exo Terra Glow Light) ok up to 300 watts and now it has blown my 75watt exo terra sun glo bulb and then seems to have blown its own fuse??

It is on a timer for a 12hour cycle - on and off

not sure how to fix this or the reason to why

Im trying anything to fix it but dont want to buy another one or take this one out as i have just put together a new viv and sealed it!!

Nightmare!!

Any ideas or thought would be great

Try using a standard old style household tungsten incandesent bulb. Or a work-shop bulb, as they are hardier. Avoid getting water on the bulb.

Check the current in the wall outlet. If the outlet is controlled by a wall switch Check it as well. You can pick up a current tester at lowes for less than 20.00 Theres a good chance one of the two is bad.
