Licking his lips/tasting

Hi my baby veiled is licking his lips/tasting motion (not gaping), ive read that they do this as a receptor for certain things??

Yup, they taste everything—just like a puppydog.

That is interesting... My Veileds do not really do this unless they are drinking from leaves (rare) or they got caught in the mister and have water on their faces. Panthers commonly will do this as they literally taste everything with their tongue.

This is normal for Veileds to do.

yeah it gets pretty stressful sometimes, and especially when you are at school and football.
