This makes me want to put my meager woodworking skills to work and make some outdoor enclosures. If only I had a shade tree…or any tree…or any shade in my yard.

Building the actual planter box was easy and I didn't follow Bills design 100%. Any wooden box that the screen cage can be screwed down to will work. Adding wheels makes it super easy to move in and out of shade. As long as you have plenty of plant coverage and lots of misting (mine goes for 10 min every 4 hours) it should work. Just in case I have shade cloth on top and the cage only gets direct sun until about 11am.
