I play bass and guitar.:)

Some advise:

-Learn the fret board.
-Learn scales
-Build your finger strength.
-Write your own music, dont just learn existing songs.
-Jam to jam tracks.
-Dont give up it gets easier and alot more fun as you progress.

-Last but not least...never ever ever pass up an opertuinity to jam with a guitar player, no matter how good you are!
